Today we had the sitzprobe (the first rehearsal with both actors and band, in which everyone just goes through the music once) for Rent in this awesome studio. One of the band members was essentially living there, and it felt just like a real-life version of Mark and Roger's apartment, complete with extension cords going everywhere.

Closing night

Tonight was closing night, sadly. Here are all the possible murderers within the show, all lined up for audience voting. It was such a great and funny show, as well as having that fun element of audience participation. I saw a different ending almost every night, which was great. The Mystery of Edwin Drood is being revived on broadway, and if you ever have a chance to see it, I would highly recommend it.

Well, it's official: I have found some theater in Vancouver. I'll be operating a follow-spot for Fighting Chance Production's "The Mystery of Edwin Drood," a very funny musical based on Charles Dickens' unfinished novel. (Strange, I know.) Here's Mark, our lighting director, after a long load-in day.
