This building was probably designed and inhabited by Germans at one time. These electrically actuated blinds that track the sun to keep the building shaded are everywhere in Germany. Dad
Hi, Chris, My husband and I have been in Buenos Aires in January on vacations. We are brazilian and this was our first visit to Argentina and Uruguay. Visiting Recoleta cemetery, our attention was caught by the menorah together with the cross on a tomb and on our research to discover the meaning of that two symbols together we came to your blog. We were delighted to see that many of the photos you have in your blog are very similar to ours, included the political parade on the 18th, january. By the way, your photos are very good! We are missing some photos on Puerto Madero, La Bombonera, Congresso, the zoo, some of the places we visited in B. Aires. We are about to publish our trip album in internet and if you are interested in, we'll let you know the link. Our best regards, Eliana and Jonas Knopman elianabayer@gmail.com jonasknopman@gmail. com
I began taking a photo each day on the day I moved to Buenos Aires in August 2006. It's been over five years now, through normal working life in Argentina, a trip all around South America, a long visit home to the US, teaching in Taiwan, traveling around the Middle East, living in Vancouver, and traveling around Canada.
I have a few lapses, but I decided that it was better to feel good about the blog instead of feeling like a slave to it.
These photos are the things that I see - things that are common or interesting or odd or delicious or beautiful or terrible - things that catch my eye in some way. This blog is a way for me to keep in touch with family and friends so very very far away, an extended photography lesson, and a kind of daily journal of my own impressions of places both new and well-known.

let's be honest- You don't want to work in ANY office building- at least, not yet.
