At the end of our street you can find the world's largest Great Blue Heronry. (Yes, that's a word.) They're just starting to build their nests (by the dozens) and mate. Let me tell you, that is not a good place to park under just now.

If you haven't seen it yet you should check out the Great Blue Heron NestCam at Cornell. Aunt Mary Jane told me about it. The eggs are due to hatch sometime in the next week or so!
